Structure of the Program

Our Program is structured in the two basic axis of today’s legal environment “Business Law” and “Human Rights Law”.  Accordingly, the traditional public law- private law division is not accepted in the Program. The students are obliged to choose one of these programs which offer different variety of courses. It is possible to choose courses from the other Programs offered in our University upon the consent of the Program Director and the limitations of the Master Programs Regulations.

There are two different tracks “thesis” and “project” in the Master of Laws Program. These programs require different course credits. However, there is no distinction between the courses offered. In order for the students to graduate, apart from the successful completion of the courses in the thesis track, the students shall submit and defend a thesis in compliance with the scientific specifications before a jury and in the project track; the students shall submit and defend a term paper in compliance with the scientific specifications before a jury. High academic requirements are expected from the students who are admitted to the thesis track.

The courses are held between 19:00-22:00 in weekdays and between 10.00-13.00 and 14.00-17.00 on Saturdays in the Santral Campus of Istanbul Bilgi University. The Courses are limited with the capacity. Unless otherwise indicated the courses are conducted in Turkish.
